Serving the Cootamundra community and surrounding towns, Cootamundra Sports Stadium and Rock Climbing offers a vibrant hub for sport, recreation, and fun for all ages.

Located on Adam Street, the facility is home to a wide range of indoor courts and activities, including:

An 8m high rock climbing wall with nine auto-belay systems
Two junior basketball courts and one full basketball court
Two half basketball courts
One full-sized netball court
One soccer court
Two volleyball courts
Six badminton courts

The stadium is designed to host programs for children, youth, and adults, while also supporting casual use and community events.

Visitors have access to male and female change rooms with showers, along with two accessible toilets for added convenience. And when it’s time to refuel, The Wriggly Bean kiosk is open, serving a selection of drinks and tasty treats during operating hours.

How do I make changes to my membership?
To cancel, suspend, or register an "e-amendment email," please complete our Member Adjustment Form. (Link to form coming soon.)
What is the minimum term I can suspend my membership for?
The minimum term to suspend memberships is 2 weeks.
What does the membership include?
Membership includes access to our pools, stadium, casual rock climbing, holiday programs, casual activities and aquatic attractions.
How do I know what a holiday program, casual activity or aquatic attractions is?
These are shown in our customer portal. Any activity displayed in these categories on the portal is free for members.
How do I book into activities?
To book into activities such as holiday programs, members will be provided a special promo code for free access. This code is given at the time of membership and is provided each term in our membership email update.
How do I attend casual activities or aquatic attractions at the facility?
To attend casual activities and aquatic attractions, ensure your membership is active. When you arrive, simply check in at the reception desk where staff will verify your membership. Once verified, you can enjoy free access to the activity.
Can I access other L+R Group facilities and membership activities?
Yes, an active membership provides access to all our facilities and membership activities.

What we offer:

Game Time gets kids ready to play competition-style sport. The afternoon will consist of:
- warm-up drills
- game strategy and rules
- game time
- game debrief
The session is conducted by the staff who will give continuous feedback to help students improve their game. Junior Game Time will be scheduled prior to any competition run during the school term. Indoor sports we cover include:

The Junior, Youth and Open competitions will run throughout the school terms. Sports included in our competitions include:

Sport is a perfect way to get active, increase your health and wellbeing while creating positive relationships. It also provides a fun social activity that you can look forward to each week.
We don’t think you should need a whole team of friends to get started so we have designed some activities that promote "Just Play". No bookings required, just turn up, pay the admission fee to play and enjoy. See the iClasspro Customer Portal to view what casual social activities are running. Bookings not essential.
Our sports stadium is the ideal venue for school groups, offering a perfect space for weekly sports activities, high school sport programs, and structured programs that align with curriculum needs.
Schools can easily hire the stadium at an hourly rate, or take advantage of and book into one of our diverse school programs, such as Coota Bounce, a basketball program. Additionally, the rock climbing wall is available for school group hire, adding an exciting dimension to the experience.

Whether you're a sports fanatic, an adventure seeker, or prefer a classic celebration, we've got you covered. Parties are available every Saturday, but if you wish to book a party outside of these times, please do not hesitate to contact our wonderful staff at the pool. Indoor Rock Climb

Got the climbing bug? You’ve come to the right place. Coota Indoor Rock Climb is located within the Cootamundra Sports Stadium and was the first indoor rock climbing facility in the Riverina.

You’ll find easy climbing terrain for beginners and some more challenging routes for more experienced climbers. Our wall is 8m in height, twinpoint auto belay system with 9 rock climbing lanes.

For the ultimate mind-body workout, indoor rock climbing is hard to beat. Using practically every muscle in your upper and lower body as well as your problem-solving skills, you scale the walls with a harness, which is included in your climbing fee. It's fun, challenging, social, and you don't need any fancy gear or athletic prowess to get started. What are you waiting for? Suitable for ages 4+.

All climbers must complete our online waiver in order to climb. You will be required to do this through your iClassPro Customer Portal. Don't have an account? It is simple and quick to create an account with us by clicking the link to our portal below.

Climbing Fees

Climbing fees include harness and helmet hire. Climbing shoes are not included in climbing fees. If you wish to use climbing shoes, an extra $5.00 per person shoe hire fee is applicable.

* A child is a person 17 years and below.

School Groups

Schools can book the wall for sport or team-building activities as long as it is outside of our rock climbing times for casual public use. Minimum of 10 students and recommended maximum of 18.

$10.00 per student and includes:

1 hour session on the wall.
Harness, shoe and helmet hire.

All students are required to wear the helmet when climbing. NO HELMET = NO CLIMBING.

Frequently Asked Questions

Age limit for climbing: There is no specific age limit for climbing as long as your child can be secured in the climbing harness and the helmet fits properly.

Booking requirement: No bookings are necessary; walk-ins are welcome.
Age to attend unsupervised: The minimum age for a child to attend the climbing facility unsupervised is 12 years old.
Helmet and climbing shoes: Children under the age of 12 must wear a helmet for climbing. Enclosed, suitable shoes are required for climbing; they do not necessarily have to be rock climbing shoes.
Stadium activities: Anyone who has paid for rock climbing can also use the stadium games and equipment.
Location: The climbing facility is located on Adams Street in Cootamundra, next to the football fields and tennis courts.
