Youth Programs

L&R Groups Youth programs provide a good range of options to encourage children to get involved in aquatic programs to help develop their water safety knowledge, overall swimming ability and to find a love for a active lifestyle.

Squad Sessions

Junior Mini Squad Introducing breaststroke and butterfly. With a focus on swimming drills for all 4 strokes , competition starts and turns. The session is conducted over a 25metre distance.
Mini Squad Mini squad we are now fine-tuning all four strokes. Distances are over 50m and this session we start to develop and introduce speed, strength and endurance training.
Development Squad At this level all stroke techniques have been refined and there is more focus on endurance, speed and strength.
Performance Squad For the serious swimmer, focusing on race preparation and aiming to achieve state qualification. Athletes should be swimming a minimum of 3 sessions per week.

Other Sessions

Our Youth, Endurance & Strength Program, focuses on developing youths endurance and strength through multisport and body weight activities.
Bush Nippers is about learning new skills and gaining confidence in an aquatic environment. Your child will learn swimming, board paddling, aquatic rescues and recovery techniques and a whole lot more. Nippers is a fun, different format to develop your child’s water safety knowledge, health and well being.
